Music for Media

My experience writing music for media includes writing jazz fusion and electronica for the music libraries Fervor Records and GMP/Reserve Music. This led to having my music placed internationally in the syndicated British car show Top Gear. My jazz/soul fusion project The Jazz Thieves was featured in the short film Ecstasy and Agony, which won best short film in 2017 at the Big Apple Film Festival.

I love writing music for media that delivers a real emotional impact, whether that is dramatic string-focused underscore, a gritty retro groove song, or a hallucinatory electronica fantasy with a catchy topline hook.

My influences range from Ennio Morricone, John Williams, Nobuo Uematsu and others whose musical themes not only enhanced, but became characters in the media they were writing for.

As a collaborator, I value working closely with directors to realize their vision. I bring an omnivore's musical palette, the will to get things done on time, and a pragmatic curiosity to discover what surprising music will bring a scene to life.
